# The weekly digest

> A summary of one server, subscribed to per person and per MCP.

A digest is a week of one server: calls, first-call rate, outcomes and cost, in an email.

You subscribe per MCP, on `/m/:id/alerts`, and the subscription is **yours** — two people watching the same server can make different choices.

## Per MCP, not per account

It was an account-wide switch once, and that had two problems.

**It covered every MCP, including the sample one.** So a person who cared about a single server got the demo's sixteen thousand fabricated calls in their Monday email.

**A combined email needs a layout nobody wants.** Five subscribed servers were tried as one message, and stitching five into one needs an ordering and a subject line naming none of them — where five emails are each simply about the server they name.

So five subscribed servers send five digests.

## Subscribing needs read access, not write

A member who could not subscribe themselves to a summary of numbers they are already allowed to look at would be a permission protecting nothing.

## It is a paid feature

Subscribing requires Pro or Scale. Unsubscribing does not — see [Alert rules](/alerts/rules) for why every gate in this feature opens outward.

<Note>
  Email delivery is **queued and not yet draining**. The subscription is recorded and honoured the day the sending job ships. See [Channels](/alerts/channels).
